Hashtag Printing is the process of physically printing out photos, text, and stills from video simply by adding a hashtag to a post on a social media network – Instagram, Twitter, etc. By utilizing a social network's API (Application Programming Interface), a script constantly searches for content that has been tagged with a specific hashtag. When it finds a new post, it automatically downloads it, and sends it to a printer to be formatted and printed out.

BREAKFAST invented the first Hashtag Printers in 2011, originally called Instaprint. Over the next few years, Instaprint's popularity grew in the event rental business, and led to more products, such as Hashtag Mosaics and Live Feed. The business grew to the point where BREAKFAST split Instaprint off as a separate company in 2015.

In 2016, Instaprint was rebranded as Luster.
