ABOUT YOU

The role of the Content Designer is part of the Creative department providing creative resources for client work with a primary focus on the creation & deployment of custom mosaic artworks. A successful candidate must have a depth of creative knowledge, tasteful design aesthetic, excellent communication skills and proven experience producing high quality content. They should have a background in fine art, photography, or graphic design with a keen eye for composition & detail to produce high quality works of art. Other responsibilities may include production support for materials such as event signage, marketing collateral, packaging, training materials, and other internal communications materials. The Content Designer will report to the VP of Creative and work in collaboration with Luster’s global operations team. This is a full-time role based in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and deploy custom mosaic artworks for Luster’s global clients.

  • Support production for event-specific graphics (e.g, banners) for clients & internal use based on global templates.

  • Uphold brand consistency and ensure the quality of printed & digital materials.

  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management.

  • Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams, and design & implement projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • A background in photography or photo retouching is desired.

  • BA degree and 2-4 years experience in print & digital production OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).

  • Must have a keen eye for typography and graphic details.

  • Must be very detail oriented and be the gatekeeper of brand consistency.

  • Ability to execute approved design direction.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and produce work consistently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Thrives on working collaboratively with various stakeholders to move projects from concept through execution and takes creative direction well.

  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills in person and via email. The ability to communicate design decisions in a clear, thoughtful, and calm manner with clients and internal teams.

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs at hand, and comfort with workflows that evolve over time,

  • Proficiency in video editing a plus.
